You can mount the monitor to the base plate on either side of your camera with the addition of the Accessory Wing. With this setup you will need one extra Mounting Knob to attach the Accessory Wing to the base plate of the Scorpion handle.

The monitor is shown here mounted in the Cage Mode configuration. You can see that in this picture the monitor is actually mounted upside down. Using the Image Flip feature of the monitor the screen will correctly display the image being focused on. This configuration is achieved by mounting a Flashner Kit on top of an Accessory Shoe. The Flashner Kit allows you to attach gear to the top and bottom side of the wing. The Ball Head of the monitor is attached on the under side and the Hot Shoe mount of the microphone is attached on the top side of the Flashner Kit. The Scorpion Accessory Wing can be used in many different ways. In this configuration we have attached (1) Acc Wing to the base of the Scorpion. We then mounted an external monitor to view the image. This is a great setup for filming lines, it's just like filming with an OG Sony VX with the pop out LCD.

This is the Flyer Mode configuration of the monitor bundle. The most important thing to remember when mounting the monitor in this position is to have the Shoe Plate of the Accessory Shoe rotated 90 degrees pointing in a horizontal direction. This way the Ball Head can only move side to side instead of having it fall off if left in the vertical position.
